Question: Can it be used as a standalone smoke detector in a Cabinet, with it only Alerting with sound in case of smoke detection. Also it can be powered using a 30 VDC Power supply right..?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This deice can be used as a stand alone detector in a cabinet, however, the unit requires 120V AC power to operate.
This smoke detector is typically used with an E-RLY-SDS120V relay and connected to an NTI Environment Monitoring System. The reference under Contact Ratings that mentioned 5A at 30VDC, are specifications for the relay that were inadvertently included on this page. We have removed the reference to 30VDC from this item.
