The Sentry 4820 Master Power Distribution & IP Power Reboot Unit minimizes the impact of locked-up routers, DSLAMs, ATM switches and other internetworking devices on business-critical networks. The Sentry 4820-XLS is an intelligent unit that combines the functions of a power distribution panel and remote power management unit into a compact 2U 19" rack-mounted enclosure. Use the Sentry 4820 to manage equipment in remote sites, co-location facilities and Telco central offices. This unit has (2) 100Amp input terminals and (8) 20A outlets. Each power outlet terminal connection is protected by a 25-Amp circuit breaker. The Sentry 4820 eliminates the need to dispatch a field service technician for manual intervention when devices lock-up. Using a Master Power Distribution & IP Power Reboot Unit, the network operations center can quickly restart locked-up remote internetworking devices with an IP power reboot to ensure that the network is fully operational around the clock. Use either RS-232 or TCP/IP to monitor the status of key Measurement Values, SNMP or email alerts as well as Syslog to receive an alarm when a measurement value is out of a predefined threshold.
