This 1U Vented 4-Point Adjustable Rack Shelf adjusts from 22" to 36" and therefore it is no longer necessary to figure out the depth of the rails in the rack. However, this particular adjustable shelf is made of two independent halves that are both 20 inches deep; so, when adjusted to a greater depth, the shelf should cover the full depth as can been seen in the quick install sheet found here: http://www.kendallhoward.com/shared/docs/instructions/1906-3-008-01.pdf.
