Question: I am looking for 3 GSM cellular voice dialers for 3 alarm systems without landlines... Customer has Cricket cell service... Will these units work for this application and if so please give details as to total costs. Thanks!
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. This device is an accessory for the NTI ENVIROMUX Enterprise Environment Monitoring System that uses a Mini SIM card from various service providers. According to NTI, a user should verify with their particular service provider that their Mini SIM card will work with GSM / 3G GSM type modems. One other note on the SIM card form NTI: 'Make sure the SIM card is for GSM communication (not CDMA), configured to send GSM voice and SMS messages, and that it is not locked (some SIM cards are "locked" to search for a specific IMEI number of the phone to operate).'
This device is compatible with the NTI
ENVIROMUX-2D,
ENVIROMUX-5D and
ENVIROMUX-16D environmental monitoring appliances and is used to send voice or text GSM or SMS alert messages from an ENVIROMUX Enterprise Environment Monitoring System (SYSTEM) to any user's cell phone or device capable of receiving voice or SMS messages. It might work with other systems, but compatibility could not be guaranteed and would not be supported.
