CX Fan Booster Kit - 18U, 24U, & 38U
APC NetShelter CX Fan Booster Kit (AR4703) - The NetShelter CX Fan Booster Kit is a user-fitted accessory which will increase the thermal capacity of the NetShelter CX. Allowing for more density of equipment, such as Blade Servers & high-density Switches. This Booster Kit consists of a replacement Power Supply Unit - PSU (24V) and a replacement Fan Tray. One Kit is needed per Fan Unit. Compatible with all generations of NetShelter CX 18U, 24U & 38U - this Kit can be retro-fitted to NetShelter CX already in the field, or to newly purchased NetShelter CX units.
- Easily Installed: The existing PSU & FanTray can be removed and the replacement Booster Kit installed in minutes and using only a screw driver and a pair of clippers or scissors.
- Increases Airflow and enclosure thermal capacity: Increases: (from and to) NetShelter CX 18U : 1200 Watts > 2400 Watts (1 Fan Unit) NetShelter CX 24U : 2400 Watts > 3500 Watts (2 Fan Units) NetShelter CX 38U : 3600 Watts > 5000 Watts (3 Fan Units) Assumes all Fan Units in the NetShelter CX Enclosure are upgraded to the Fan Booster Kit.
- Remains office-quiet: Despite increasing air-flow, the Fan Booster Kit does not audibly effect the noise levels from the NetShelter CX itself. Conversely, as more noisy equipment is installed in the NetShelter CX, so too the effectiveness of the soundproofing increases.
- Zero White Space: All cooling equipment is placed outside the data center, allowing for valuable white space to be fully utilized for IT equipment.
